Lovick’s have 4 unique  venues for hire which are all suitable for groups, functions, families, sporting associations.
  From a private bush camp to a beautiful retreat on the banks of the Howqua River, we have accommodation to suit
  guests who like the peaceful bush surrounds and to get away from the masses.
 


"SEEFORTH STATION", near Sheepyard Flat

Self Contained Group Accommodation


Seeforth Station is a functioning cattle property which has hosted many horse riding groups over the years.

The property is ideal for family, friends, sporting groups and schools, who like rustic, basic accommodation in a truly beautiful setting, just minutes from the Howqua River and Sheepyard Flat.

  • Facilities:

    - Cattlemen's Homestead, bunkhouses and separate cabins.
    - Sleeps up to 30 people
    - Full kitchen, Gas BBQ and hotplates, large icebox, cutlery, crockery and all cooking utensils.
    - Large open fireplaces under cover, generator for power, toilets and showers.
    - Phone connected.
    - Caretaker on-site.

Activities: - Bush walking, mountain biking, horse riding, swimming, canoeing, trail bikes, 4WD trips, fishing, gold fossicking in the Howqua Hills.

Day trips to Bluff, Bindaree Falls, Mt Stirling - Craig's Hut, Mt Buller

Pets are allowed. You may bring your own horses - an extra charge of $10 per horse per night applies.

  • Rates:

    - Un catered: $75 per person per night incl GST (children under 5 yrs no charge)
    - Fully Catered: $150 per person per night ($25 for children under 5) incl accomodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner. BYO refreshments.
    - Minimum group size 10

  • Season: All year

What you need to bring: Bedding, food, drinks and ice for icebox

How to find us: Follow the Howqua Track for 14km to where road forks. Turn right at Spring St and follow past Stockyard Creek turnoff another 1/2 km and turn left into Seeforth Station. (signed on tree at turn)

"THE HIDEOUT" Lower Howqua

Self Contained Group Accommodation

 

 

"The Hideout" is the perfect retreat, tucked away on the banks of the Howqua River, set amongst 3 acres of lawns and European trees in the middle of the bush. The Hideout offers tranquility and beauty and is a well equipped functional bush camp.

Originally the buildings were fishermen's huts and have been converted to a main dining/kitchen/recreation area and 3 other huts for sleeping.

  • Facilities:

    - Large dining/recreation room, seating 24 for dining comfortably.
    - Sleeps up to 26 people
    - Fully equipped commercial kitchen suitable for groups, weddings, corporate or social functions.
    - Treehouse bar and BBQ.
    - Riverfront BBQ.
    - Cable TV, phone connected.
    - Large natural rock pool in front of complex for swimming.
    - Volleyball, cricket and table tennis.
    - Guided horse riding on request.
    - Caretaker on-site.
  • Rates:
    - Un catered: $75 per person per night incl GST (children under 5 yrs no charge)
    - Fully Catered: $150 per person per night ($25 for children under 5) incl accomodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner. BYO refreshments.

"The Farm " bunkhouse is self contained budget accommodation situated in Merrijig at Lovick's farm in Powers Rd, 30 km from Mt Buller.

For people who would like reasonably priced off-mountain accommodation

  • Facilities:

    - Sleeps up to 24 people
    - Large dining/recreation room.
    - Fully equipped kitchen.
    - TV and DVD
    - Pool table.
    - Washing machine, drying room.
    - BBQ.
  • Rates:

    - $25 pp per night inc GST

To get there: 20 km from Mansfield on the Mt Buller Tourist Rd.

"The Dungeon "100 acres partly cleared, borders Dungeon Gully and adjoins State Forest, this beautiful retreat is perfect for private camping groups

Situated on the property is a small weather proof bushman's hut, ideal for preparing meals and shelter. There is an open fire and gas plate with rainwater drinking water tank. A lake nearby offers the opportunity for fishing. There are 4WD tracks on the property which lead to many other tracks on and down to the Howqua River

Horse riding is available on request. Pets are allowed. You may bring you own horse, a charge of $10 per horse per night will apply
