Bonnie Doon Ride

Our horses were treated to a spectacular ride to their Winter holiday home last week. Friday night was a great chance for the reunion of riders to start before awaking to a very low fog and quite chilly conditions on Saturday morning. Some of our riders may have celebrated a bit too much by the roaring campfire the night before though!

Costumes at the ready, the march down the main street of Mansfield was a sight to behold with members of the band 'Kiss', a couple of beer wenches, a surf lifesaver and even a couple of spiders (among numerous others!) regaling the townsfolk before riding through the Thirsty Camel drive through for a quick beverage. We beat the rain and headed to the pub in full fancy dress before being treated to a beautiful BBQ dinner.

A few of our guests were brave enough to keep their costumes on and hit the pub for a dance later on that night...there were a few weary riders on Sunday but our horses didn't mind!

It's been a great riding season and we're looking forward to seeing what costumes you all come up with next year!
